Meet the Panel

Susan’s research focuses on sustainability and relationships in the global supply chain, and she’s done over a decade’s worth of research traveling to wine businesses on three continents resulting in a book called Contemporary Wine Marketing and Supply Chain Management: A Global Perspective. Dr. Golicic is the chair of the Department of Management at CSU. Susan has received five conference best paper awards and the 2010 Journal of Operations Management Best Paper Award in addition to the CSU College of Business Research Award in 2011. She teaches supply chain management courses for undergraduate and graduate programs and has been nominated for the CSU Alumni Best Teacher Award.

Travis began making wine in 2009 at his family’s small vineyard in the North Georgia mountains. As the industry grew, Travis began consulting with other wineries in the area before joining the City Winery group as the production winemaker in Atlanta. Travis joined the OBC Wine Project as Winemaker in 2020. The OBC Wine Project’s mission of crafting interesting wines with a craft beer flair is a perfect match for all the things that Travis loves about winemaking: community, creativity and fun.

In 2010 Patric Matysiewski began a career in fermentation. Hired on at Breckenridge Brewery originally to prep in the kitchen and wash dishes. Within a few months he was summoned to operate the canning line. From here on he excelled to bottling line operator and keg filler and washer. Learning the ins and outs of the cold side of brewing and cellaring.

In 2018 Kaibab gifted Patric some tonnage of some very interesting grapes that had the potential to become great sparkling wines for a research and development project. The resulting wine was made in the Pettilént Naturel style and sparked what soon become the Sauvage Spectrum partnership.

Crisann Hanes, M.Ed., WSET II, is a higher educator, wine educator, and blogger in Fort Collins, Colorado. Crisann is a Graduate Advisor for Evening and Online MBA Programs at Colorado State University, and in her off time runs the blog Rocky Mountain Oenophile, and hosts private and group wine tastings and educational seminars. She is a proud Marine Corps Veteran, co-chair of the NASPA Veterans Knowledge Community, and is an advocate for student veterans in higher education, and for emerging conversations around military veterans in the wine industry.
